Hey,

I am a snowmobiler from the Edmonton area and will be in Calgary for new years day. I would like to bring my snowmobile and see some new trails. After looking at the Calgary snowmobile club wedsite I saw that there is good sledding at cataract... Its a long drive and it looks like road conditions would be tough. I was wondering if anyone will be at cataract creek on new years day or if you have any information regarding riding there. It looks like fun and a unique experience. I ride in around seba beach, whitecourt, Athabasca, westlock. areas, is cataract creek similar or more mountain sledding? Does this club do any grooming? Just to let you know, I am an ASA member and support the cause. Any information whatsoever would be appreciated, thanks.

Corbin was thin bit in the trees but they need a dump down that way in a bad way. suspect McBride Vale and Blue have the best conditions right now.

Just as a general note to everyone, if you haven't been over before, please be sure to know which areas are in and out of bounds before you go. Until you drop down into the BC side, you are not allowed to leave the trail.

I am supposed to go to Revy that weekend with a friend, but if he bails I might be up for a day ride close to Calgary. I've been to Cataract years ago but have never been over the pass. do you guys know the area well? I am an experienced rider with avy gear. Will let you know if I can make it. Cheers

Point taken Summit X, we want to respect the rules so we can all keep this gem of an area. Thanks for the heads up.
