Roy you didn't happen to unload and go for a bit of a tour to check out the trails to the west did you? I see the snow is a little slim in the parking lot but have been watching the radar for the last 2 weeks and there has to be snow out there somewhere.

Thanks for the pictures guys. Looks like one could take a quick ride out there to make sure the new sled is running well.

I didn't. Wasn't able to get out there until 3:00pm. The radar has been looking good for a while but Im not sure if a guy could get up the pass yet.

Well... we can always drool over the Revy pictures it almost looks stupid out there. We just need some of that to come our way.

Took a drive out to Etherington and Catarac today to check out the snow conditions. There was about 2-4 inches of fresh at both of the parking lots and probably a total of about 6-8 inches with the crusty base. Looked like it was still pretty socked in farther back. Won't be long:beer:

Think I will break-in 2012 M800 on Saturday at Catarac. Forecast looks to bring more snow tonight.

Cant wait to bounce skis off some bark and pull idiots out of creeks this year. BTW remember that argument last year about not being able to ride until december, what was the verdict on that?

Made it out today for an afternoon ride. Slim at the parking lot but deeper the further west. 1 to 1.5 feet when we turned around. May head out tomorrow and try fording pass into BC.

New M800 ran great for first ride.

Thanks for the photos. Hope you liking the new proclimb. Probably head there tomorrow to get more experience and remove the training wheels, haha.

We didn't venture too far past the staging area, maybe 8 miles toward fording pass. I only ran 22 total miles. Also, my altimeter shows max altitude was 6800 feet. The gates are still closed but easy to get around. Great day for breaking in the new sled. It ran great.

Went out today for a drive just to get out of the city for the day. Went up to the Cataract end and walked the trail with the dog almost to the bridge, 6-8 inches is as deep as it got.

Was snowing hard when we left.

The main road gates were open at Etherington, the trail gates are closed. Saw quite a few sleds heading in was we were heading out.

And watch for downed trees. There were a few that recenty came down on the trail, and it was quite windy today if anyone hasn't been outside in the past 12 hours :)
