If anyone has any information on this area, I'd be interested as well. I just got back into snowmobiling and would like to head out there. I also would be interested in meeting other riders from the Red Deer area.
Thanks,
Will

I know this is an old post but I will update anyway. My wife and I took the kids to Waiparous(Ghost) area today.Travelled up the Creek Trail and up towards Margaret Lake.Snow is very thin again there this year,Only 8-10" down low and up around the Maragret Lake area there is about one foot.Nobody else out there but the quads have dug the ruts on most of the hills. Should have taken the quad but wanted to go sleding. If it snowed a good foot out there,it wouldn't be that bad.

Was out at Onion last weekend and it was awsome in some areas,,,,,,,, some slopes are bare from wind though,,,,,,, will be back there next weekend for sure!! has been snowing lots lately!!!!!!
Hey Safari guy thanks for the info.
Awsome meaning lots of deep powder or just good trail riding. Want to go there but looking for the deep stuff and dont want to drive 5 or 6 hours. Live in Edmonton!!! May go to Baseline instead unless you say Onion has better pow.
Any info would be great
Thanx

So how was Baseline???? Seen lots of tracks out that way,, looked good. Onion was good,,, more snow than before, but the trail was rough. Almost had an avalance on me,,,,, it was giving way but didn't come down,,,,,,, thatn later spun in powder on a steep zone and almost lost my sled down the mnt,,, but was all great.

We rode the Baseline/ prarie creek area last weekend and it wasn't too bad. There's about 12" near the road and more as you start to climb. Good place to take rookies. We climbed one of the mountains there and the east slope was deep, maybe 3 or 4 feet. Deep enough for the rookies to get stuck a few times.

We might head out there this weekend and hit up a different area. Let us know if anyone is thinking of hitting up this area.

Cheers

We did a trip to baseline a couple weeks ago and it was ok. Enough snow to go exploring but not enough to play around. I would go out a little further. We parked at the lot for the fire tower. If you go down the valley across from there it comes to a camping area, keep going up. There's a brand new road to a clearing on the other side of the mountain. Probally 3 to 4 ft there.

Has anyone been up in the sugar bowl area? If so how is the snow up there? Thinking of taking a day trip out there next week.
