Rode yesterday at Galloway.. -1 when we left the truck and never hit past -5 all day, ten miles east of there was -23c.. found over the years anything past -15 you better be prepared.. over night adventure becomes life threatening pretty quick after long day.. **** happens, be prepared

According to the SkiDoo Cam at Owl's Head in Sicamous it was in and around -28C

Make sure to clear your vehicle of snow and defrost those windows.
Apparently the LED light bars are an issue in Revy also.....
Just because we have 4x4 vehicles with great winter tires we apparently have to really watch our speed??????? Just a heads up folks....

Police will be stopping drivers in Revelstoke to addressing the following violations.
The cost of a ticket is beside each violation.
– Distracted Driving – $578
– Illegal auxiliary lamps (i.e. LED light bars) – $109
– Speed relative to conditions – $167
– Follow too closely – $109
– Fail to signal turn – $121
– Fail to yield to pedestrian – $167
– Driving while view obstructed – $109

Hi there.I appreciate you finding my Polaris bag. If you could drop it of @ full speed rentals. I am from Ontario but store my snow bike there.The bag had a pair of heated FXR gloves,a shovel & a folding saw in the side pouch

Interesting.
I have had a light bar on every vehicle I've owned, and every semi truck I own for about 13 or 14 years now. I drive way more than the average person, and i have not received any tickets for anything in twenty years, then I got a speeding ticket on my motorcycle. Myself and my drivers sometimes get stopped in road checks, they look right at my very obvious light bars, and never say a word. Just don't shine them in oncoming traffics eyes, or follow someone with them on, they are bright as hell. I think some people drive like jerks, so get themselves stopped, and then the cops will pick on every little thing they can find to make a point. On a slow year I drive only 125,000 kms per year. I am often hauling over height, over width, over length, and over weight loads. The scales stop me and come out with measuring tapes, and checking my permits...are looking right at my light bars on the front of the semi, and do not even mention it. I went through a road check in December in my pickup, and its impossible to miss my pickup light bar, again not a word. But I don't drive like an a-hole. Don't tailgate, don't try to see how fast its possible to get my truck to go, I dim my headlights and light bar connected to my high beams well back from oncoming cars. So do not just panic everyone. I drove through Revelstoke yesterday, saw many illegal things happening in traffic, and zero people pulled over by police. If I was the guy driving a short bed pickup with 5 feet of sled hanging off the back of the deck, not even a flag tied to it, forget a working light, then I would be prepared to get stopped 10 times a day, yet they don't even seem to stop those guys. Think how illegal that is!

Rode yesterday. A little warmer up high and snow is definitely on the heavy side but still plenty deep.

Rained hard in town today.
Parking lots are very wet and slushy. Bring your gum boots to load and unload. LOL.
Pretty much rain till half way to the cabin,
Super socked in alpine/above cabin. You could find pockets below the cabin with better visibilty in trees.
Temperature hoovered around -1 at cabin.
Was a chore keeping goggles clear of ice. The group had all variables of colour but nothing really worked. Heated goggles just seemed to keep the ice soft enough to wipe clean instead of scraping them off.
Warmer temps in forecast.

As Johny said, snow is definately getting heavier but still deep in areas.

Still had a not bad day but had to be careful.

Great group of guys yesterday to ride with,
Saskatchewan, USA, Ontario and Quebec.

They can even park in a straight line. LOL

Look close and see you can see the lawn dart move.

Best thing I ever did last year is purchasing the synister heated goggles, as a hot blooded guy and the Revy high humidity and snow days they been a gift from god..

Nothing worse when you can't see the holes or fog moves in and there's no dry googles.. now just to get a spare battery for them.. turn on from morning and let run till night

Snowing really hard up top all day.
Crust layer below from last nights cold.
1600 to 1800 meters was the best riding all day.
Had 3 young Ontario fellows today that were awesome. Well, awesomes at pulling my ski's...LOL.
Lots of riding and stucks today by everyone...

With the recent heavy snowfall ther is tone of broken trees.....Big trees buried under the snow.
Some just hidden under the fresh.
Be careful and dont assume it is a pillow to wick over....
I found that out early today...
