And it goes a long ways. Just have to be mindful of the weather. If it changes it’s not a lot of fun finding your way back in a white out. Get someone that knows the back to go with you the first time. Few spots you need to know where to go to navigate safely.

I’ve never been to Renshaw but this sounds like a party a guy doesn’t want to miss.

Honestly since switching to Polaris in 2013, we never pack gas anymore. And run 60-80 kms/ day in the deep stuff. They have big tanks and they don't use much fuel. Ski-doo is pretty close too. Sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less, usually within 10% difference. The main trails in Revy are groomed and even though the cabins are a fair way in they have no load engine on the sleds getting there.

We have a good poke into our riding here. In fact there are lots of guys that skimmer fuel in. I’ve tried a few different setups. I’ve also switched up my style the last few years. Find myself making it a goal to burn it all. I always run a caddy now.

Some areas I won't bother with extra gas. Belle in McBride for one. Anywhere else I always pack at least one mountain addiction can. Two if I know it will be a long day. I haven't had the need for more than one yet, but I'd sure be happy to have it if I got stuck overnight.

Most days in the kakwa area we need extra, it is pretty much 30 miles each way of groomed trail plus whatever we ride extra. On an average day I make 150-200km this of course depends on who I'm riding with.
