I've never been but a group of friends have gone every year for the last 4 years. I've offered to let them take our 4 place instead of 2 vehicles towing 2 place trailers and they have always declined saying there is no place to turn around with a 4 place where you have to unload to sled in. Maybe they've added a turnaround? Good luck and have fun, they say it's a great place to go.
You can't get up the hill at 12km with a 4 place unless you have chains.

Bnorth is correct about the tire chains on that hill. There is room to turn a 4 place around at the top. Iv done it for 4 years now. It’s even easier this year as they moved the staging area in about another 8 ish km. Can turn it around where the logging road branches off to the staging lot.

Heading up there Tuesday, is the road still decent up to the 27.5k parking lot? I’m sure riding conditions will be very spring like in nature but it’s the road that concerns me more than the mountain

Road was decent coming down.no chains required.Taylor plowed the parking lots out.if you drive the road in the morning before it thaws, you will be fine.it was pretty busy today with pickups and only maybe half the guys had a radio
We found untouched powder all 3 days with ease so you should be fine...

What is the road like after all this heat? Wondering if you need a mud bogger to get up.
