Going to be in Revy hopefully sooner rather then later. Seeing that sledding happens during the day. I'll be up there solo, i dont know anyone other then some people on the forum. What does one do after sledding?

I have a room lined up in a house already so wont be in a hotel. Wouldn't mind getting out of the house while im there. Might have some of my sask angus beef coming up with me as well, nice steaks, hamburgers and such.

I'm curious too if there is a go to bar or something. We rented a house with 6 guys at the beginning of Feb. I imagine most nights will be beers in the garage while the sleds thaw out, but wouldn't mind knowing the happening places too.

Zala's is the go to sledder hangout. Village Idiot is all plankers but a decent place to eat and hangout never gotten any grief for being a sledder. Big Eddy is my preference though.

Woolsey creek is amazing food but its a little fancy, Chubby Funsters is another great spot. Zalas is pretty good. Big Eddy, Chubby and another place have a shuttle now!! The taco place is good food too.

Zalas for food, get the Zalas Ceasar, hits the spot, pizza is pretty good as well. The Regent on a weekend is a decent small bar as well.

Honestly, I've been to Zalas three times and it wasn't anything to write home about. Service was good, lots of sledders of course, but the food was pretty costly and just not that special? Maybe it's just me...

Chubby Funsters, on the other hand, is great. Fantastic food, wonderful service. Stupid name but who cares - get the deep fried pickles!

Zalas used to be awesome back in the day, but new owners and no salad bar make it a dive at best now

sent while drinking tea's

Because you eat a lot of salad.....lol

The Big Eddy Pub is great, gets busy though. Good spot to grab a table with buddies. Zalas is just the place to go and be with sledders. It is pricier but its Revy. We never have empty glasses and the food is generally consistent. Emo's is a decent spot as well with lots of room.

What about the last drop? We went there a few days last season and had some good specials. Has anything changed? Their salt and pepper wings were pretty good. Kinda hipster though in my opinion. Bunch of Aussies tripping on xctasy and acid rave dancing to a rock song lol.

Same owners, son manages it now. Nothing wrong with the place and the prices are pretty reasonable for the quality and portions of the food. Besides when was the last time you crossed the Perry River lol

Zalas is great and has always appreciated and supported sledders! Staff is fantastic. As to no salad bar, you can thank the plankers for that as they would load up on salad and then take pretty much their whole dinner to go so they could stretch their $20 bucks for the whole weekend's food. Several of the staff I know well verified this. You can also thank the plankers for crazy high hotel prices but that's another thread...
