Not sure what the problem is but when I statr my Rzr the starter makes a clicking noise like the battery is flat. I have tried it jumped up to my truck (whilst running) also used other fully charged batterys and get the same problem.

It will intermittently turn the engine over a couple of times very slowly and then start clicking again.Eventually it starts after a few attempts of trying i.e. turn key off and on again and hope it catches instead of clicking!

It is not a battery charge issue... Unless a running ford f150 with jump leads is not good enough or a jeep patriot with new battery on jump leads.

I have replaced the solenoid.....

Any ideas.... Is the starter bad?......

Could the new solenoid be bad also?

If it has a bad battery , it will do the same thing

Ur jump battery won't help much

If u go right to the starter post and it turns over like normal then it's ok

Also mabe a bad starter, if it's a permanent magnet type, which I'm sure it is, then u can hit it, but be gental , can break the magnets

sent while I should be drinking tea's

I have disconnected the battery and replaced it using a fully charged car battery. Using another battery yeiled the same results...

I Will try direct to the starter and see what happens. I have a feeling its going to be the starter and an expensive replace! :(

Had the same issue with my sportsman. Thought I would be replacing it,but when I removed the starter,i opened it up and found the brushes stuck and not making contact. Cleaned and lubed them up and it's been fine ever since.

The starters do fail on the RZR's. Jump it from vehicle, new battery dont matter the starter is dead.
Had mine do it last yr. Had to keep running to get it out of the bush after it finally started. We tried ne batteries, truck boosting it. It finally found the right spot & fired. Never shut her down for the rest of the day.
