Slipped timing gear on the crankshaft, hopefully have the engine out this afternoon, anyone done this yet? I'm just gonna leave the top end together and pull the bottom end, then pull, and then weld the gear and reassemble.

Keep me posted, as my wife got her brothers 2011 for free. It has 600 miles and I replaced the brake pads as wells as greased, oil change and cleaned everything up.
Now has 630 miles, and a fun quad to bomb around on

Here is a picture down from the camshaft to the crank, the black marks are suppose to line up.

My symptoms were hard starting, no power, running rich, fluttering idle.

Had at least one '13 do that under warranty.

Polaris was going to cover the cost of parts and I pay labor of about $1000-$1500 depending on how much they had to tear into it. I said fawk it and have the motor on the bench,.. been a mechanic since '92 so I'm thinking I can accomplish this and save some coin.

Had some me time yesterday so I pulled the pan and removed the crank, here is a better picture of the spun gear.

Gear pulled and pressed back on, I used a piece of pipe and the water pump drive coupler because the threads are reversed.
