No big deal ... it's two beer stop .
It's a popo , you soon will be able to change axles in your sleep ....lol
It's not a bad idea to Cary a spare rear &front / or have them at the campsite.
Pay close attention to the boots ( are they all the same exactly ?)
Is the diameter of an axle thicker on one side or the other? If so , Likely
an aftermarket axle .
You can drive it with a busted axle, but it can do more damage & bind up .
Best to remove it / then drive it out.
There is no oil able to. One out of the diff ( normally ) so I would think the sweating is coming out of a CV boot . Likely it got hot and then grease seeps out a bit ...
Normal stuff / no red flag

I'll essentially be leaving this thing at my cabin during the summer, the trails start 2 blocks from our driveway so like you said maybe not worth packing but worth having back at the cabin, just in case.
Knowing this issue with the axles now it's certainly something I'd watch for during each ride. Same with thecv boots but these look in really good condition right now and I would intend on keeping them that way:d

Watch out for beer cans stuck in the rim to lol

Lolol, There was one rear wheel which had a little squeak to it when I drove around at low speeds, assuming the brakes could use some cleaning and the inside of the rims themselves since this guy mainly did sand-riding by the sounds of it.... but I didn't see any of those in there!!

Buy a wheel bearing greaser. You can get them cheap on eBay. The wheel bearings don't last that long, greasing them makes them last ten fold.

Yes it breaks other stuff when ya drive it out with a bad axle, throws roosts like a bugger with one axle tho

Makes me feel far better with this machine, as I truly do believe it was maintained and I am pretty meticulous myself and will be putting very few, easy miles during the summer. I'll be sure to check back in somewhere around Fall and let you guys know how she ended up being if anyone's interested.

It needed a few things when I got it, I put a belt in just cause and secondary clutch had bad rollers, fixed them too while apart

Needed front drive shaft u joints, which Polaris wants to sell the hole shaft, I installed precision ones that grease...

Just have to inspect it all, drain all the fluids ( mine they were all good and clean) so ya know where your at....

I spent 1000 bucks At start including 2 inch lift kit

I was thinking similar, belt he had not replaced since owning and it's one of the easier maintenance items a guy can do to get a more reliable, responsive machine. Bushings / bearings / u-joints were done in the past 1000kms so not too concerned there, not for this year at least.
Comes with a fluid change kit so I'll be doing that as well before much use.

~$1000 to know what you got is worth it IMO

The odd rzr transmission will pop out of low range going down hill... occasionally.
Try and test that , it is sporadic , but there is a number of them that do this .
Just check it on your test ride ..

Mine has never done this

But sometimes will not show high on display, seems when it's wet it does this

Then the 4x4 won't work when not showing

I have never used one on any machine.

So you grease once when you install new brgs?

Once installed how do you grease them again ?
I would assume u have to take it apart with axle and hub flange out, take the bearings side seal caps and squish grease in

In my mind your 2 steps away from just putting a new one in, pressing it out and new one in lmfao

So just replace brgs each time worn out add a little grease.

Seems too much work to grease old brgs

You can buy ones you can grease with the axle in. That way just pull the axle nut off and slide the hub out and push that in. Then it pumps the grease through the crack from the inner races.
