So many questions, you should give a story so we can figure this out, who installed kit and was it done properly? Once you rebuilt the top end how did you break it in because there is a definate way to do it and a wrong way. The clearances are tighter and therefore you shouldnt break them in the old fashion way up the trail and then let er rip up top. These pistons need to be heat cycled 5 times up to 140 degrees and cooled down completely inbetween and then for 1 tank of fuel no wide open throttle pulls at all with a cup of oil mixed in the tank as well. Your oil injection should be turned up if it isnt already and premium fuel mixed with av gas is a great thing to do to be safe. Was the sled detting? Depending on kms the fuel filter should be checked and changed if plugged you definately need all the fuel getting through those bigger injectors. I also run oil in every tank of fuel just cuz and it has not affected my performance in any way. This is all my opinion but if you want to talk to the expert call Chris at Parkland Motorsports he will help you get to the bottom of your problem guaranteed. These kits are pull the rope and go with excellent reliaility so hopefully you can figure your situation out and be back on track. Good luck.

I installed the kit with the instructions provided. No steps were missed and nothing is missing or loose. I also installed the top end. It was heat cycled more than five times unil the coolant running through it was warm dont know about 140 degrees. and was broken in on a couple of trail rides about 50-60km worth. Not a full tank of fuel with a cup of oil. There was some oil added but not a full cup. I reread the instructions which do state to break it in with 32oz of oil over 100miles with no wide open throttle. (This didnt happen so maybe just a breakin issue?) The injection pump was turned up on the top end install. I have sent pics and the story to mtntk but was told they have never had one burn down so more time was needed to analyze. Which is fine but I am still waiting to hear back. I will contact chris at parkland as well I guess. In the meantime I thought I would ask for opinions Sled has about 1800km.

Your factory piston looks like lack of lubrication. The Fix Kit one is eroded on the top from detonation. You would think the det sensor would have gone off.

Have you measured the oil vs gas ratio? I found that the 90deg elbow out of the turbo pushed down on the throttle bodies negating the extra oil adjustment. I had to shorten the pump rod so my oil ratio wasn't scary lean.

I agree on the detonation as well which is odd unless your filter is plugged up, might be worth a check on that. My filter was plugged up but my det light came on a fair bit until I figured it out.

My det sensor does not work that well either or at all. wires are all ok and is tightened down properly. Had some serious ring damage on the first set of piston. Now I just run a strong mix of race. I do have the lowest par turbo dome head and still have over 130 psi per cyl. Add some boost to that and the comp is extremely high. Do a simple comp test to see what your motor is producing. Then make sure the fuel filter is good and don't be cheap on the fuel.

My 15 pro with mtntk never ran as it should have..... Some times it would run well and other it would fall on rpms to 6600 and fall on its face Cycle works west did the install when I fist ran it it would bog at low rpms and some times on any given pull rev 8100 rpm they lug down to 6600 I got sick and tired of taking this sled to the mountains to only be disappointed.... Talk with Chris at parkland and bought and installed fire and ice intake.... It ran way better at low end buy still intermittently had the 6600 rpm bog and not every time it did this... Sold it on Kijiji sledding in mountains is expensive let alone having grief every trip with this sled..... For all of you that have a pull and go turbo Polaris cheers your lucky for every one having grief I can relate.... Bought a t3 installed aerocharger 66 and this sled truly rips

It's too bad you didn't figure it out, my 15 with MTNTK runs excellent. I did lose a crank bearing though. I'm trying their new tune tomorrow. Hope I don't mess with a good thing.

I've had an MTNTK kit on my '14 Pro for the past 3 seasons and its been flawless. It runs especially clean from the midrange and up. I think I'm at about 8-9lbs boost and I mix C12 with pump. I did have them send me the updated ECU flash on my second season, and I am running a heavier primary spring and a little heavier set of clutch weights. I also like how the silencer isn't too close to the belt drive so as to not melt it! I think for the price and performance increase, its been a great kit. As with all 2 smokes, it obviously doesn't like "hot air", so you can tell it doesn't make as much boost due to heat, but overall, after 2500 kms of ripping, I can say I'm happy with the performance. My kit was installed at Cycle Works Foothills and they have been fantastic.

Give me a call on Monday at the shop I am away till then thanks.

Same question as in other thread, any gear changes done on the chain drive models to get better track speed with the turbo? Stock final is 2.52 (44:19), have you moved to a 2.34 final (43:20)??

have to be honest with you here. I don't run the Mntek but rather a different brand. Stock gear ratio is 1.90. I geared down to 2.20. I never lost track speed and I haven't seen anything I felt that I needed to go faster on. Not sure what your asking "Final". Polaris clutching stock from the factory will never quite get to a 1:1 final ratio. Stock motors just don't have enough juice.

So you have the 2015 Pro correct? 40:21 stock gearing and you went to the 43:19.

I have the 16 Axys 3" chain which I believe is geared to low for a turbo. I want to see if guys are gearing it up rather than down, to get some more track speed.
