SO. Ordered a kit for my '17 AXYS 163 in early November. The deposit was given and details were exchanged. After a month of waiting, I emailed to get an approximate ETA so I could schedule my install etc. A few emails were exchanged, with "yep, your kit should be ready by the end of next week." Still no kit. Finally, I emailed to cancel the order, but was told my order was "non-refundable". I called and discussed the situation with Justin. He said they could have a kit out to me that day! Hhhmmm. OK. SO I let the order stand. Finally, between the craziness of Christmas and so forth, the kit arrived on the 28th of December. Immediately, after I got the kit, and was home from New Years, I ripped the ECU out and overnighted on Jan 4th to the USA for reflashing. I specifically requested overnight express back and told them I would cover any additional cost. When I checked the return address on the USPS tracking, it seems the postal code may be slightly wrong. or something.... I asked them to contact USPS to make the correction, but no communication back. 12 days later, still no ECU. Called them, no answer, and the voicemail box is full.

Anyway, I am writing this post to warn you guys of buying stuff from the US, particularly from Silber, at this point. The popularity and price of these kits have put a squeeze on them and the lack of attention to detail (return address), and customer service is, at least for me so far, not great. As the legal saying goes, CAVEAT EMPTOR. Or, buyer beware. If you are considering a turbo, I'd recommend considering a Canadian product (Redline, Boost-it, TSS). I sure wish I had.

I have no doubt these kits are working well, and the install was a breeze. The fit and finish, and quality of the welding looks great. If I ever get the reflashed ECU, I will post a review once I ride the sled. In the meantime, I wait and wonder why I didn't just shop locally.

Thats great Chrisco. I think that is the ticket. I shouldn't have tried to do it on my own I'm thinking. Having Dealer backup and support is the key.
At any rate, my ECU finally made it to me. Everything is installed and ready to go for this weekend.

Hey HotShotHarry, yes, tried calling, but if they don't pick-up, it'd go to VM, and the VM box is "full".

Sorry to hear about your issues. I went through a very similar issue with attitude industries on my 12 pro. It ended up costing me way more in the end, and I had a kit that was sub par. I went with boost it a few years back. Yes it cost a bit more, but man is the kit good. Everything from fit and finish to customer service is spectacular. Hope it all works out for you.

After it's all said and done, my turbo works. Strange thing is, my display gauge won't scroll through now, and my grips heaters are toast? Weird. Best to deal locally I think. Learned my lesson. Rant over.

OK, so now I've got a bunch of days on the sled and I figured it would be fair to make a few comments about the sled.
1. Its a '17 AXYS 163 x 3" with Fox suspension. On my first outing, with the clutch springs that came with the kit, I rode it at about 6000-7000' for the better part of a day. It ran really well, but it needed weight in the primary.
2. I tried the weights that were supplied the following weekend, but even with most of the weight in, I was still hitting the rev limiter. So, I ordered the dalton adjustable weights.
3. Third weekend out... YEP. Darn near perfect at 176 grams!
4. Fast forward a couple more rides in various conditions (tight trees, smaller drainages, and some off-piste shredding), all between 6500-8000'. What I can tell you is that the combination between this sled and the turbo kit is DEADLY. It absolutely rips. So, in spite of my prior impatience, and so forth, I am really happy with the sled and the turbo kit.
5. It does seem to use a lot more oil than it did stock, obviously because we cranked the oil output to help with the turbo I think.

On the balance, I am really impressed with Silber's kit, and I am SUPER impressed with the performance of the new AXYS. Its a great combination.

If you can pull 176 gram weights, I will buy 6 kits!!!! Lol.

all jokes aside though it is really good to hear reviews of all kits on the market. Thank you for taking the time to fill us all in and giving us the best information possible to aid in our selection of kits.

Ooops! I mean 76 grams! Sorry about that. I am running the dalton weights at 76 grams. Truth be told, if you are a chute puller, I'd probably recommend more weight. I still hit the rev limiter with 76 grams. Trouble for me is that I like the throttle response, and I rip in the trees a lots, so a bit more technical type riding. 76 seems to work good in those situations for me.

Something kind of unusual is that I've blown 2 spark plugs apart! Literally, the plugs haven't fouled, but have broken, and or come out of the head!!! WTF! Kinda crazy.

Again, overall really impressed with my kit and the AXYS package (with suspension upgrades).

What's happening with your plugs is a sign of detonation. Beware! I don't know why the knock sensor isn't going off.

If you hitting rev limiter, the extra compression pressures and det can do a number to plugs as well, had the same thing happen to me once in similar fashion

OK, JMCX, so I've been running 100LL Av pretty much straight. Should a guy switch to C12? I don't want to blow this engine apart at 800 kms. (-:

I had a ring get stuck from electrode breaking off, and had to replace pot piston.. Dropped boost after that exsperence and added some primary weight so I would never get that high of rpm again.. I also run strait av now 103 motor octane and been good
