Well I’ve always read about the a-arms failing but I never thought it would happen to me, well turns out I was being naive, broke my lhs a-arm. Any suggestions on whether to go aftermarket or just put on stock again would be great,

Thanks

For the price point and simplicity of finding an a-arm if you happen to bend one on a trip, I'd just look for a stock one again.

I found a spare upper/lower a-arm set for cheap 2 years ago ($150). Been sitting in my gear bag since but nice to know I wont be left in a pinch on a trip.

Buy some trenchers from Chrisco and keep the stockers for spares.

I know a guy who smashed his right hand side.

One of you should get an aftermarket set and sell your good stock side.

You both could fix you sleds for 300$ each.

Exactly why I've always stuck with stock. I wiped out the same side twice in one year, once in Island Park and once in Seeley Lake. Polaris dealers right nearby and I had them both together the same day.

I’m picking up an after market set on the 26th, my rhs is still good as well

I had both sides unglue on me 2 years ago coming down the trail. I drilled holes and put bolts through the shaft and shackle, and also bought a Polaris-equivalent glue, and have had no issues since and no evidence of them ever shifting.

Then painted them black for looks.

this was the fix for mine, 36” alternative impact with kyb shocks, might change them out yet later since this was just a fast fix to get me going again
