Just put in a fix kit in my 13 pro 800 using Wossner pistons. Never have ripped into a sled like that before and took us a couple tries to install and seal the injectors properly but everything appears to be good now.

Started the sled up and it is running like garbage still. Doesnt quite sound like its running on one cylinder, but definitely not right. Did not replace spark plugs yet as I didnt have a fresh set, but that will be first thing I'll try.

Any thing you guys suggest to check? Have a couple months to figure it out myself before sledding season

What's it idling at? Probably wouldnt hurt to reset the TPS correctly. Did you inspect the reed pedals and see if theres any chipping on them? Also new injector orings are under 10$ so wouldnt hurt to put new ones in as I know mine were all squished when I did my topend

Agree with Kyle. It’s TPS or reeds or both. Been there before.

'Running like garbage still'

So it ran bad before tearing into it? Did the pistons look bad? Compression test before and after?

Replace the brown and green o rings on the top of the injector, but left the blue ones in the fuel rail as they were fine. Did not check the reeds while I was there, and that might be an issue I guess.

Yea the one jug was wrecked pretty bad and was forced to replace the mono block. Compression test was 75 EXH / 105 MAG before rebuild. Have a picture of the pistons I'll throw up tonight, but they were not good. Have not done a compression test on the fresh build yet because I ran out of time, and then went back to work.

If you go back in to check the reeds. Be careful when you remove the throttle body. Be sure to disconnect the oil pumps linkage or you will break it. I did.

Like I mentioned before, at the time of first start up I didn't have a fresh set of plugs. One of them was fouled and that ended up being the issue. New set of plugs and it seems to be running as crisp as every. With 2200 miles, I'll keep in mind in the next time it starts like chit to check the reeds.

You guys still think its worth my time to get the TPS reset?

If your idle and WOT rpms are good then you should be fine. They tend need recalibration every couple seasons, if your experiencing low idles or no rev issues.

It's a pretty easy procedure, heres a link I used with descriptions and some pictures

How much would your RPM's be out if the TPS was hit? I just finished my rebuild and it seems to fluctuate a little more than it used to. I also replaced plugs during the re-built and it now waivers between 1600-1800 at idle when it used to be more like 1700-1800 or could that just be caus it's new pistons and rings still seating themselves? I'm prob worrying about nothing..

When the TPS is out it will vary from not running to being a few hundred RPM out. On a fresh rebuild I wouldn’t touch it yet if it’s idling in the right range. Put a little oil in your gas and run it in ethanol mode for the first ride. It will run rich but the new top end will be well lubricated. After that back to non-ethanol mode and give er.

I've always experienced the Poo 800 idle as varying by a lot of RPM, that's just what it does. It's no ETEC where they idle like a finely tuned machine.
