Hey guys,

Got around 5000km on my sled now and I’m thinking it’s probably time for some maintinence/servicing this spring. What should I be looking at replacing or rebuilding? Looking to keep the sled reliable for another season or two.

I did a Mtntk drop in kit at 3400km.

Anything to check/replace in the bottom end of the motor? Couple friends had motors fail due to rod or crank bearing failure around 3500km, which kind of makes me wonder when mines going to let go.

Fuel filter, I know Oem is $200+ and I remember seeing an aftermarket “splice in” option from vehicles, anyone know the part # for that filter?

Ive never touched the clutches....never had a reason to but I’m sure a refresh wouldn’t hurt. Would it be worth it to change weights or anything to get better performance?

Motor mounts?? They look ok from what I can see but I’ve heard of guys replacing them every season or 1000km??

What else am I missing??

Also WTB a set of gripper ski’s and thinking of doing a 36” front end if anyone has one for sale.

I believe SPI makes a Filter that is in the $80 range. As a minimum you should blow out the clutches with compressed air every few rides. The spring on the clutches tend to "loose" their tension, meaning over time performance goes down. Best bet is the take the clutches apart and inspect, and replace as needed. Check idlers and drive gear for wear etc....

I have a set of Mountainside offset spindles in stock for a Proride RMK Chassis. I believe your spindles are the same as stock Proride RMK so that would allow you to use them and narrow your ski stance by 2". $550 and easy install. Only thing is the Assault used some heavy hardware and if you are getting gripper skis also make sure you get the ski bolt hardware to fit the RMK. (you may have same size bolts but I am not sure) The spindles already have bushings in them.
