2013 800 on 3rd top end. Tired of sinking money into bottomless pit. Cost of repair not worth cost of sled at this point. Is there any financial value in parting out? Not worth it? Any other opinions?

If it hadn't gone into dealer and been on record as an issue it would have been a serious consideration.

2014 assault 155 could not sell it for 5g. I parted it out made $5300 in 3 weeks still have the motor tunnel and about $1500 In parts that will sell eventually. I kept the electronics, handle bars and exhaust for my other sled.

I would think the engine , track and electronics would be the big items but he said he kept them.
I heard of a guy buying brand new pros and parting them out last winter and making decent money.

This is what’s sold and what I wanted for it and what i got for it. the prices must have been cheap as I never had anyone try to negotiate except for the guy who wanted the rear shock for $200 and I was asking $250.

I rarely ever use Facebook, but I am in that group as well. How did you post it on there? Piece by piece or just say parting out sled?

One ad with a picture of the whole sled tore apart. Made a list of the common parts with a price beside the certain part. Lots of ppl can’t figure that out so I had a lot of questions how much a part is when of the would have read the ad they would have known. I did write in capital letters after stating read the ad before commenting and that helped.

I will say the demand in the US for parts is crazy. Posted on a FB group and it's been crazy the replies. Most machine would be gone if it wasn't for cross border shipping.

I was really surprised by the high demand south of the border. Even had txt from Massachusetts and Maine. Shipping is the killer lol.

The 14 I parted out went quick maybe 5 weeks. Still have the motor, panels, electronics, exhaust, over structures, steering components and some random stuff. The parts I sold brought in about $6500. I even shipped some parts out the east coast. I still have a turbo pro so thats why I kept some parts but would have sold if I wanted to sell them.
