I'm going with mtntk because I know a few ppl who ran that kit and said they had great luck with them. And these guys put 4-5k miles on in a season or more. I'm usually lucky to get 1500 miles in a season lol. Plus they are a good price which makes the wife happy,. Happy wife happy life right!! Lol

one question I do have is what are most guys doing to the oil, how many turns some say 3 and others say 1 is enough or does it depend?

When you have it apart have a real good look at the screw. They put yellow paint on it at the factory. See if you can determine if it has been moved. I recommend three turns tighter then the stock setting. On my turbo setups I have turned them in three turns, it didn't seem to be excessive oil consumption.

One other thing I'm having trouble figuring out is what I need for gaskets lol anyone have a list on hand? I can buy a kit but I have decided to order my parts here in Canada instead of the states and my dealer is saying I have to order each one separately.

As long your careful your top end gaskets will be fine. They are rubber. Do yourself a favour and don't take them out of the castings. Can be a bitch to get back in.

I have reused the base gasket but its up to you. Its not expensive.

Exhaust gaskets for the y pipe and exhaust valve gaskets may be a good idea. Again I have reused them if they come off clean.

The fix kit comes with base gasket so that's covered, I'll definitely pick up y pipe and exhaust valve gaskets.

Make sure you get the ves valve gaskets as well, clean your valves while you have it apart.

Personally I don't reuse base gaskets, I had a couple leak a little on me even when using new ones.

You need a base gasket and ves gaskets for sure. When you install the ves gaskets cost them in oil. That way you can remove the ves valves for cleaning later without ripping the gasket. While you have it apart replace the other rubber gaskets. They are cheap compared to what you just spent on the kit.

Just grab a top end gasket kit. Will give you everything you’ll need. Watch you don’t lose the rubber seals inside the cylinders where the injectors are. There are orings on injectors plus a rubber seal inside the ports as well.

these be the little green ones that sometimes stay in the cylinder and sometimes come out with the injector.

I would order the gasket kit but my dealer can't order it apparently, said I have to buy them separately. That's why I was asking, I would rather just buy the kit lol

Your dealer is a dick. Can get through kimpex, motovan, etc. Any of the big aftmkt companies have the complete kit. $90 for the kit.

So apparently I wasn't talking to the right person at my dealer I could buy a gasket kit which I did and I got the mongoose fix kit which apparently is the same except the pistons have oil holes where the mnttek kit doesn't. Also got new wrist pin bearings.

How did your build turn out? Im thinking about doing my wifes 2012 PRO, it has 112 PSI and 115 PSI on the cylinders, about 2500 kms, runs mint but im getting scared.
