Wondering if someone could help me pinpoint a whining noise. It sounds like the noise made when the brake is engaged, but its when on the throttle, off the throttle, louder when brake is engaged. It goes away when the sled is stationary or if I lock the brake/track when I'm moving... Any ideas? The brake isn't dragging at all...

I believe it is normal. If you read the break-in period in the manual I thinnk it talks about it. Is it a 13 with the Quick Drive?

That's a funny one. I probably can't help you without riding yours but I thought mine had a whiny noise until I figured it out.

So I have to ask, were you riding with Doo's or Cat's? We all know if you post about your Pro you get those whiny sounds but I found out it happens in the field too. You have to be rude and throttle away from them (that's why it gets louder when you brake) and the noise disappears. Really, it's true!

I do get a whimpering sound from my Pro when it's waiting in the shop for the next ride but i think it will outgrow that. It's still a puppy eh.

Well, if nothing else, y'all have made me laugh...lol. I usually only ride with a 2012 RMK Assault, that since my rebuild has started whining lol...being as I've been able outperform it :)

I should have clarified, my sled is a 2011 RMK Assault with 2500-ish miles on it. The whining started about 250-ish miles ago. It started before my rebuild, and has been ongoing since my rebuild. I'm wondering if the chain would be too tight? We did swap tracks early in the season, I can't remember if it was whining before that or not...

A tight chain can make that sound for sure.
