My sled had intermittent problems the last few rides and died when I loaded it onto the truck on Tuesday . I have the TSS out of the throttle block and the only way the sled will start is if I depress the switch and hold it . Does this sound right ? It fires right up but is idling to high(2100) rpm. I've heard of guys taping the swicth down , but if my TSS is faulty which I believe one of the resisters is , will that be why my sled wont idle properly with the swicth taped down ? The tps is right in spec at .7 base voltage , and the sled idled at 17-1800 all day before the TSS started to act up .Any thoughts ?

Are you sure there is a resistor in it the old ones were just a open or closed circuit does it have its own plug? If so unplug it and try it with out it, I took them out of my Dragon with no issues. Mines cut out a few times on me the first day of my last trip so I am going to look at removing it all together.

Ya there is two resisters in the throttle block . The dragons were different . It would be to easy to just unplug ! The ECM needs to read a set resistance for throttle closed and throttle open .

On a buddies sled we had the exact same issue. I took and cut the wire, twisted and soldered the bared ends together and perfect since. Just need to see if you need it an open or closed system and either pull the plug or tie the ends together.

The Pro's must have the TSS circuit intact unlike the Dragon's. The only way to bypass the TSS in the Pro's is to tape or wire tie the plunger of the switch closed (making sure the plunger is all the way closed)
