When I snow checked my 850 part of the reason I decided to go with that machine was the fact they were offering a 4 year warranty. I took it in for something minor (bad heated grips). They found to be faulty and replaced. I also had them do a couple other things that I did not expect to be warranty. When it came time to picking up was told the machine had no warranty left and it expired a year after the date I picked it up. I understand usually the manufacturer generally has the first year but what happened to the remaining 3 years of warranty that was advertised.
Wondering if I missed something or if anyone else had a issue like this.

Do you still have a bill of sale saying you have 4 yr warranty or a snowcheck form that says that? Did you buy an electric start model and got it for free with 3 yr warranty? I'd find that documentation and go from there. If you were supposed to have 4 but didn't get it someone made a mistake warranty registering it.

Heated grips wouldnt be covered on your BEST extended warranty because they would probably be an electrical wiring issue which isnt covered. Hope this helps

It’s for a Polaris but I did check the bill of sale. It does not say anything about the 4 year warranty. I just remember talking about it and had the sales brochure stating it.
Guess I was pumped about getting a new machine and didn’t go over all the paperwork properly that day.
Won’t be dealing with that dealer again if I missed out on the remaining 3 years. Going to contact Polaris once they are open next week and see what they say.

Yep they can tell you how it was snowchecked and if it was registered properly. Good luck. Sorry I thought you had a Doo.

Comes up as the warranty ran out and there is no extended warranty. For some reason it did not get applied to the machine. Guess either the dealer did not register it or something else is up. I’ll have to contact Polaris to find out.

Snowcheck machines almost always have loads of warranty. Wasn't that the first year of the Poo850? I thought they loaded up the warranty to reassure everyone to buy.

To me that`s BS it should be covered, BRP on my other machines never had a $50.00 deductible when did they start charging this.

in your statement you say you snowchecked the sled yourself. the big rave was to get the 850 you had to snowcheck and it was automatically covered for 4 years. everything is supposed to be covered EXCEPT wear items.
go into that dealer and freak out. they screwed you somehow during registration. call polaris direct as well and explain the situation. find your paperwork as stated.

Years. First year is bumper to bumper. 2-4 is $50 deductible for every repair. Plenty of exclusions. Hadn't read the warranty coverage guidelines in the dealer binder for years till our service manager at the store killed a couple repairs for a customer of mine. Had chew out session with him and he threw the guideline paperwork at me and told me to go read it. I did then started cussing out BRP. Lol

I have a 19 850 and it is 4 year warranty. I know this because I just had a warranty repair. Have to pay the $50 deductible. No big deal.

I didn’t know about the $50 deductible but whatever. What did you have done?
