2020.5 flash for Patriot 850

So I have a 2019 Polaris 850 and got it flashed last week by my dealer. This is the 4th flash this ecm has seen and it seems to start easier and run cleaner. I was running hot plugs to make it run good with the last flash but now the stock plugs are working great. From what I understand it also brings the exhaust valves in about 5700 rpm instead of 6000. They also cut the oiling down on deceleration.

Hmmm.. Just so I'm clear this is a new flash?.. I as well have a 2019 850 and had the 2020 flash done to it at the beginning of the season, has there been 2 flashes since then?... My sled has the high viz tunnel and boy does it get black fast from the exhaust. and if I am understanding this right why wouldn't the dealers or Polaris let us all know this?

Yes this is the second flash of the season. My buddies G4 is no better for staying clean if that makes you feel any better. My dealer didn't even know about it.

Good to know Chris thanks, spoke with the local polaris mechanic around here yesterday and he confirmed this flash as well but was very unclear on the changes or the purpose other than easier start up and leaner on the lower rmp range.

Thanks for this great post.
Had both of our 2019s reflashed once, and it made a difference for sure. Been really happy with the Poo 850.
