Looking for some input on the TKI belt drive kit for my 19 pro, it's a 155 with 3" I like the ease of having a belt over the chain case, any input would be great, especially with what gearing I should go with

We have them in Calgary if you want to take a look at them. Sale is on. 10% off for March if you tell us you saw it on S&M.

The group I ride with goes that way. As well it will be used on flat ground here in alberta as well

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
With a 3” 155 for Mountains I would do a 26 top gear. It will be snappy.
For the flatlands, I would do a 28 top gear. It’s an easy 10 min swap.

Tom has an exchange type program so if you want to try other gears, it won’t break the bank.

No guarantee on the results tho. Proceed at own risk! Haha

Post your results and help fellow S and M’s learn! Happy tuning!

For the chaincase to belt conversion the brake rotor is on the outside of the top gear so it is a little harder to change the top gear as you need to remove the brake caliper each time you want to remove the gear.

I would say 26 top, for a 155 is for 2.42:1 (equivalent to 8 tooth calculated) 58:26 = 2.23 then divide by .92 for 7 tooth 3" pitch.

You don't want to go too fast with a 3" track anyway as you could spit lugs off.
