With harder ski rubbers u can rip the ski mounting holes. I retrofitted Yammie rubbers in my gripper skis about 4 years ago now. Works great on the old pro but Last year on my axis I ripped a ski off. Made some similar braces for the ski but never put that ski back on as I had a spare.

what do you hit in order to rip a ski off?? Never heard of or seen a ski getting ripped off
was looking at put these new ski rubbers in this season.

Makes sense, I've been running Chris' ski rubbers for a few years now and haven't noticed any floppyness yet but I guess I should have a look, with how hard they go in actually I'm not surprised they would wear this way

The damage is happening with stock ski rubbers too. When it finally rips the ski has hit something and got bent up to the bumper. Doesn’t take much, just finding that perfect stump just below the snow.

How did u bend the rear ski? Would like to do that for backing up in deeper snow. Heat up and bend it?

I would also like to know this. Backing up with grippers is dog sh*t.

For anyone who has said they have never had the issue have you pulled your ski bolts out to confirm?

These skis have only had stock ski rubbers, basically replace twice in 2000km and it’s egged out. Once it does this the rubbers last half as long.

Haha, was wondering if anyone would notice that.

Yes, it was just a heat gun. I think I did it a bit too much though as the 174 likes a bit more ski float and I may have lost a little.

Great idea Chris. I noticed this problem big time on my older sleds 97–98 2004 RMK ETC. can’t remember the name of those plastic skis but mine are egged out bad.
Will these work on the older polaris plastic skis too or just the gripper. If not here is an opportunity to seek more Lots of those old skis on the snow still. I had to look for a different set of used skis mine were so bad.
