I've got a 2020 motor going in the sled ... sadly the sled gets to spend the entirety of the holidays in the shop, right through the massive dumps of snow we got on the west coast...

I'm going to call polaris customer support to see what kind of compensation, if any, i can ask for ... The sled already had the extra year of warranty put on due to the last engine failure... any experiece with this type of situation ? anything I can expect on this 3rd go around with engine issues on this thing ?

Anyone wanna buy a 2019 850 with a 0 km 2020 engine (or trade me a skidoooooo?) lol (I'm only half joking)

I would be asking more question about the previous motor install. If you got 60 miles out of it I question if it had break in oil in the tank? If it had oil in the tank you would at least get that tank of fuel with less problems. My first guess is that the oil pump or some of its components were not oiling properly. If this is the same mechanic that's preforming the work he may not get it right this time either. Make sure he bleeds the oil pump and confirms that oil is going through all the oil lines before you rip on it again.

Call Polaris Customer Service and get a case number. Diplomatically explain the situation - I have found this is key. Especially since you have had an engine replaced already. I have found them to be very understanding. Squeaky wheel gets the oil. Your dealer can help too but it will depend on their relationship with Polaris.

Typical 2019 the motors had lots of crank issues from the PTO bearing not being installed at the right depth to case sealant restricting the oil passage. 2020’s were fixed
