I'm curious what guys with the 850 found with the clutching? What works well for these sleds? To start I was thinking SLP blue/pink primary with Magnum weights.

I have full clutch kits in stock that were tested all over BC. Includes a primary and secondary spring, magnetic adjustable weights, and dual multi angle helix. Greatly improves bottom end acceleration, better throttle response and top end track speed. Really wakes the sled up. I also have custom belts made to match the clutch kits. The belts are $139.99 and the clutch kit is $495.99

Feel free to call me if you have any question or concern 780-619-6884.

Cheers, Ben

Clutch kit is installed but I haven't been able to try it yet in the snow other than to load up and take sled to the dealer. Does feel snappier on the bottom end and am excited to try it when we do get some snow.

I have Ben's(Dragonweld28) clutch kit on my poo 850, as Ben stated it helps the low end as I found the stock set up piss poor at best and his kit corrected that and the difference right through the rpm range was improved and seemed to get there quicker and held rpm really well in heavy heavy early season deep snow which is great.. i rode the sled for a couple days stock so i would have a good comparison and this clutch kit improves the sled considerably in my opinion... and if your on the fence give him a call as he's a great guy and will take the time to go through any questions you might have. I also think the fact that along with his vast knowledge of clutching and that he is out testing his clutching in all conditions in the same areas we ride is of great importance and the end result shows. I hope this helps and Good luck!

Installed and ran Ben’s helix and springs this weekend on my 19 850. What a difference in sled performance. Sled had current reflash done and then installed the kit. Awesome improvement. Will be adding Pro gears this week.

Well Ive ridden the 850 SKS 155x2.6 a fair bit with the SLP blue/pink and Magnum weights, and GGB can. The back shift is not great, and I feel like Im not getting as much power down as I should be. Im going to try Ben's kit, and I will report back.

Ben's kit is definitely an improvement, I also have the MY20 Oct 2019 flash, and instead running the Dalton QAP4 adjustables(base 10-70gr) need to add more weight next trip out.

You guys say bens kit like it’s a helix and some springs lol what helix angles and what springs the strt 42 With a black purple slp spring or just stock works in decent with just a delrin washer also u can toss in a pro rmk spring witch makes them work a little better in the primary not much to it u can try bumping the weights up to 10-70gram weights to that’s Polaris weights not aftermarket crap that hammer your clutch out depends where u ride I live in bc and ride waste deep snow most days you should be pulling around 8150 8250 on deep snow days what is every one else using

I believe that the reason everyone is referring to this “kit” as “bens kit” is because he has spent the time and done ALL of the leg work developing a set of components that work excellent with the sled they are on. If you want to do the same by listing a spring and weights as you have above please feel free to call it “proride86’s kit” and see how popular your “mod” is. It takes people who are willing to spend the time to further develop the factory market for us consumers. We greatly appreciate your efforts!

Straight helix's are lazy and don't backshift well. They are also poor off the bottom and fade on the top end. The factory 10-68 weights actually weigh almost 69 grams and are very mid and tip heavy. the combination of these weights and a straight helix is poor bottom end, slow on/off throttle response and RPM that fades a WOT. The multi-angle helix and adjustable weights are key.

Every one suits there own I use a strt 40 helix and a black purple spring rock and rolls in the 850 with either a black pro rmk spring or a blue pink both very similar i don’t mind shareing I have a few multi angle helix I have used that work to but I don’t ride on flat lands usually very deep and steep tree riding and my belt temps are perfect wide open all day so I stuck with then 40
