Just texting with a buddy who rode one today. Says it’s the best sled polaris has ever made. He actually used the word love. And he’s not a poo guy. Fast and Torquee are the words he used.

I would have a couple rides on mine if I had received it, coming from an XM I'm hoping to give what knowledge I can once I get some seat time. Planning on Mcbride or Tumbler week of 27th if I get the new whip.

I rode the 850 yesterday and this is an unbiased opinion. I had a turbo pro, have rode many 800 axys stock and modded and turboed and I currently ride a Yamaha sidewinder with a 174. I have a bit of a bitter taste from my share of problems with my Polaris and have no intention of buying one anytime soon but this new sled is fffnnn amazing. I rode it hard and it was still in the last part of break in mode, engine is super torquey and very powerful, felt stronger than the doo 850 for sure. The sled I rode had a 162 2.6 completely stock with a can, it held 8300 rpm all day everywhere I went and I saw 70 km an hour trackspeed on long hard pulls. I went places that I thought this sled would not go and it killed it, surprising me big time. I feel that this is absolutely going to be the sled to beat this year and good for Polaris, it's their turn, now I hope that it holds up, time will tell. Now let all the doo riders hate on this, and yes I spent quite a bit of time on the doo 850 and yes it's a nice sled but with all the MAJOR issues I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole. With a little clutching and a 174 track it's gonna be a killer ride boys, enjoy your sled!

Catman did you find the Polaris easier to pull over than the doo, does the new 850 feel light on the front end.

I also road the 850 2.6 163 yesterday on Boulder.... I only rode it for 10 minutes however what a decieving engine. It was on its 2nd day so probably not off complete break in mode. First what a light machine and feels amazing, side hills like a billy goat with very little rider input and seems very rigid more than my turbo pro was. As for power ... I was shocked as it holds rpm and just keeps climbing without screaming. The torque is there ... you Polaris guys have a winner winner chicken dinner here. With a 174 and 3” or 3.2” with pipe(s) I think Doo might just got there lunch handed to them (I could be wrong) I love 2 strokes and 4 strokes as I’m very non biased but geesh this sled is extremely nice and the motor is silky smooth that does pull.

Really love the new 850 I rode it in Mcbride November 17, 2018 night and day compare to my 800 and I heard it will be even better after brake in.

I came of a BD Turbo 2016 Axys, also have a 2018 850 SkiDoo 165. All the sleds are totally different but all in all I am really liking the 850 as well, it pulls hard and lots of torque as said but the thing doesnt stop climbing. The narrow front end is something to be desired but all in all enjoying the new sled for sure.

I have seen no video evidence in this thread of these claims as written in previous posts....supply said videos or will direct these claims to the fake news section! ;)
