So I ended up wasting another hour and a half on this last night. There is no where that I can see these work for the front section of the sled. Alternative angles and locations all have issues. I tried taking a couple extra better pictures.

Good news is I brought the old Polaris scratchers in to cycle works for warranty. I posted a picture that they were both broken on the exact same place. To my shock they are warrantying them. First time in probally 10 sets over 3 sleds I’ve had this happen... so I’ll have a fallback if next plan doesn’t work..

I’m going to buy a set of doo scratchers to try I think. Printed off the install template and pretty sure I can mount them near the front and only need to drill one hole. Could use the existing holes for the rest.

If anyone ever finds success with the ice storms on this sled please post pics!!

I’m sure these alternative scratchers will break at some point lol

Why don't you just drill a hole in he rail and put a J bolt in to hold the scratchy end in place- never break.
Just keep the 5/16"dia. J bolt 1/2" in from the edge of the track.
Used to do this on all the doos before they came out with the new plastic support junk ones that now break twice a year.

Had these on my pro. Almost Never put them up! Only wrecked one when it got caught loading on a deck. Ripper the hook off but they warrantied it. Mount through the existing single hole in the rail or drill a new one. Will hook into that giant window opening on your rails.

I run the same style but different manufacturer on all of my sleds. Never had a single issue and have been running them since the Nytro day’s lol. Trail blizzer is the manufacturer of mine and I always get the carbide cup version. I hear poo’s are hard on hyfax... but neither my turbo pro nor my natural pro fall into that group of hyfax eaters. Some may say that I am just lucky and others may credit the scratchers.

Use the hangers from the Ice Storms and drill a hole in the center of them to hook the stockers in to. I will also work on getting the Ice Storms on and will find a solution to share.

I put the ****ty stockers on as I got them
For free due to warranty (first time ever!) lol

Before I did I measured them and put them up against the ice storms. As you can see the shape is significantly different and the 2inch length difference makes a difference on hooking them to the rail or mounting a holder.

Will re-evaluate again when these one break lol

Just thought I would show what I did to make a place for the hangers on my Polaris 174.

I took a couple extra aluminum spring retainer nuts that I had and put 2 of the large spring washers (temporarily) on them just for a thickness guide. Then I hack sawed off the stem and then drilled right through it. I used a fender washer on the other side of the rail cutout and put the bolt right through to the hanger.

Hope that makes sense.

Ps if you have the clicker shocks you need to put the bolt facing out so it won't hit the reservoir.

Very creative solution and looks great. One of my replacement warranty scratchers looks like it’s about to break so I’m sure I’ll be trying this in the near future as well!

I switch all my Polaris sleds scratchers with BRP Summit scratchers. Definetly the best scratcher available on the market imo.

You have a picture? Interested where you are mounting the stow away bracket?
