anybody want to comment on their new 850?
a bud just stopped by with his new blue and green one. nice sled very quiet and easy to pull start.
one thing i noticed though is that it is one vibrating pig. worse than the pros were.
anyone else notice that their's shakes also?

Polaris isn't worried about vibration shaking your teeth out. It will just stress crack everything and fall apart. No extra charge.

Well a longer stroke and stiffer motor mounts will do this. As long as it smooths out on load I'm okay with it.

Strange, all the promos claim it vibrates less than the Poo 800.

thats kinda why i put this out there. could it just be this one/ the dealer where this came from has 4 more sc's there. i think i will go check them out and see if they are the same.
i know if it was mine i would be asking questions.

Hopefully.... otherwise if it does this throughout the RPM range, numb hands will be the result. Some people might enjoy this added side effect...

the 05,06 900's were disgusting to ride because of shake. really hope this is not the case. need to ride them to be sure. these are production models now and NOT proto's. what changed?

There is no snow and these have not been ridden yet.
Run them a bit....take deep breaths for 5 min.

Right... run them a bit. The mounts will get softer. I'm sure they will vibrate less in the snow then on the deck.

It has a slightly shorter stroke than the Doo and the Doo is okay, well with the old style gummy motor mounts that is. It will be all new for both brands this season with both brands having new mounts. I don't think anyone is worried.

Are we _certain_ this sled has a 850? I mean really, if it was the old 800, think the sled's owner would even notice? As long as the sticker says 850.

it's amazing how many Polaris haters there are. Time will tell if this engine holds up. I hope its a stellar engine in a sweet machine. if it holds up then I will own one in the future

hope your not thinking i'm a polaris hater. thats all i own. 3 of 'em. question was simply put, do others think that their 850 vibrates quite a bit? i am thinking possibly this one in particular may need a different clutch because of a balance issue.
stuff does get screwed up sometimes. if other ones also shake maybe there is something else going on.
