Picked up a 16 axys with mtntk turbo this summer. I know a lot of people on this site have this setup and I was wondering what you get for fuel mileage. Cant wait to ride this thing. I had the mtntk boys go through the whole sled this summer and do the fix it kit, 100 gram lighter pistons, new updated turbo clutch kit, and they did the 19 updates on the turbo which entails moving the injectors to fix the starting issues. Let it snow.

Not to derail, but if you don’t mind how much did having the sled gone through cost ya?

I ask because it looks like a guy could save a lot buying used over new but sleds are pretty much toys that are meant to be ridden hard

About 1600 for everything. I am approx 9600 into my axys with everything. 8000 for sled and 1600 for rebuild to make it all new. The one I bought looks brand new and does not have a scratch on it.

I run a 16 with that turbo, and you really don’t use much more fuel than stock. Now that depends on conditions and how you drive. On a fresh deep day it will burn more than a stock sled, but its breaking trail and its going a lot farther. So not a fair comparison. I ride with other stock Axys, 800 doos and 850 doos. At the end of any given day we are all pretty close in fuel. Reason on most days you don’t use more is you are not using as much throttle as a stock sled to travel the same speed.
If you were out on a deep day with just a bunch of turbo sleds and you all rode hard you would burn more then. When you ride with stock sleds you don’t ride as hard or you are way out front riding by yourself.
