Chill is in the air again and it's got me craving snow in a bad way. Curious as to what everyones plans are for mods or upgrades this season? I'll be selling my '16 sidekick and moving into a leftover '18 or picking up a '19 850 if I can find one that someone backed out of. Then the usual...wrap, finger throttle, bumpers, maybe shocks

Gotta due shocks, after 5000km and 5 years they are pooched. Not sure if i'll rebuild or get something else. That's probably about it, not much else I need other than snow and time to ride.

Looking at skid plates,.. what do you current owners run extreme or ultimate?

I like the extreme, I have one on my 18, but never had one on my 16 and I don't feel I would need the ultimate. It has more protection but I haven't seen a lot of damage in the area it covers. That being said I watch my buddy punch a rock through the side cover of his Beta last week and I haven't seen that done in a least 6-7 years :(

I leaning towards the extreme myself, something is better than nothing. Also might get the front bumper as well, still a little while to decide yet.

The Polaris bumper with the integrated skid plate is nice and works well with the extreme skid plate. The only downside to the heavier bumpers is if and likely when you do hit something it tends to break the mounting tab on the right side off. There are numerous $45 fix pieces for it online when it does happen lol

I'm pretty conservative when I am riding and know there is something in front of me,.. I tend to get stuck on occasion-hehe hence the beefier rear bumper which I want. The front bumper can stay stock for awhile, but I just noticed they aren't extreme for the axys, they are called Elite and Elite-pro.

Maybe a new name change this year. The skid plate on my 18 is the extreme. The bumpers they discontinued one of the line ups and have a new one. Maybe that Elite series.
