So I am seeing on Snowest that guys are seeing the 19 Demos with clips on the lugs now. Anyone here that can confirm this? This would be good news for those getting an 850.

Can you enlighten me from the release videos all the tracks have drive lugs clips?
So you are saying the videos show this design change to be true? Or are you asking me if I saw the videos to confirm this? I just saw some posts and photos of Snowest that show clipping on the lugs.

Nm I was confused for a moment, I didn't know Polaris didn't clip the lugs on the 16/18 years.

Can confirm.

Clipped my own 2016. No problems at all.

Kind of greasy that they wouldn't warranty any tracks, yet are now realizing they fecked up.

Taked to Matt Entz and he did a video showing the new track. He confirmed tracks are not full clipped just clips are moved to the lugs now

I’m still clipping mine before I put a single mile on it.

So
Why ??
just ride it
and buy a new track when needed
extra clips or not its only Gona last like 1800ish miles
anyways
sell the sled or old track cheap , just change it out like oil
this also gives u a chance to try out a new kinda track for fun

My 18 has a fair bit of ware on the unclipped Windows after only 2 short rides. 85 miles.

Mine was showing a lot of wear at 800 miles clipped it now at 3500 and still the same at all the windows. Rest of the track is almost finished though

No these tracks just aren’t durable. I adjust my track after every weekend and use scratchers on every trail. There are many others out there with the exact experience.

Ya, whatever! A loose track can contribute to wear but we see them worn, tight or loose or just right.

Better drivers and loose track does slow wear down quite a bit though

When sidehilling and a loose track will more-so move over on the rails and wear the outside edge of the track windows. In addition a loose track allows the lugs to twist more when accelerating and this twist raises the trailing edge of the window into the hyfax to wear into it more. This also affects traction. With the lug twisting back, it can decrease traction, sometimes with positive effects or sometimes with negative effects. With the lug twisting you may pack snow better and with a stiff upright lug you may trench more. All depends on what type of snow you are riding whether you want more traction or not.
