Found some pipe insulation in the nosecone of my 16 RMK last ride and noticed the aluminum heat shield splitting on the pinch seam right up where the pipe bends in the front. Also had an intermittent DET code and also a one time TPS code putting the sled into limp mode. Would the rattling shield be enough to trip the knock sensor? Plugs looked good, changed the EV relay just cause I had a spare, and filled up at a diff gas station in Valemount with 94 Petro Can and never had the code the next day, but the riding was way easier. Motor was rebuild top to bottom 600km ago, and has never thrown a code before.

I had a loose alum shield on a 11 and 14 pro so loose that u could hear it rattling at a idle and on throttle. It never make the det light come on tho.

Wow, I just saw the name of this thread and figured you ordered a new AXYS and now you are "deep in Det".

Haha, might have to order a 19, spent enough on this one, the 850 might actually be cheaper.
