So when the Axys 800 H.O. motor was introduced to the mountain segment it had spent a full year in trail sleds to prove itself. The story then was given the extreme conditions the mountain sleds were exposed to they wanted to make sure it was reliable. Now they are introducing the 850 with a "total new engine design" and we're told "trust us, we've done lots of testing".

So doesn't it seem funny that the dealers are now being limited to the number of 850's they can get? Is it just a ploy to now limit future liability if the 850 does have issues?

I'm also surprised that we have not seen lots of "real rider" reviews on the 850 like they did for the intro of the Axys...

I'm tempted to try one as a lot of the changes they have made look good on paper...

Maybe now they realize that flooding the market with machines only hurts their sales. Supply and demand my friend.

You can't get back Number 1 market share by limiting production? I can guarantee Polaris management wants it back. I think it was a good move introducing an 850 by Polaris. It should increase the hype for next year.

Polaris has done this with most of there first year additions dating back to the original RMK. Don't expect to have your new one until late Nov early Dec and come jan I bet there will be another release

Well I really hope it is a home run for Polaris as it is great for everyone when there is more competition and the bar gets raised!
