Just picked up a 2017 155 ES (sisters new ride) and the guy was saying the dealer told him it'll kill the battery if the key is left on. Any theories?

It will if you leave it on long enough with the PIDD gauge. Not sure how long that will take but leaving it on throughout the day while you are using it, I am sure it wouldn't hurt the battery at all.

No PIDD on this one, I assume its like every sled before it and doesn't matter if the key is on or not

The battery in my 16 died over this past summer. No key in it. Nothing that should be draining it. I even charged it after I found out and it's still effd. After a good rip up the trail it's usually good to go for the day, but it'll be dead by next weekend.
