The dealer does not have the say whether it be warranty or not. That is a manufactures decision. This also can take a couple of days to decide. Wait and do the warranty process or pay up and continue playing. Your option of course.
Yes I'm a auto tech, some things are costumer pay for diagnosis ect, till the client can prove oil change records, that it has the stock engine and trans calibrations ect

Then if it's all good, then it's warranty

also so flaking of the running boards
machine won't start without some throttle a lot during the day, idles real low and shuts off
wont go in reverse , intermittent issues also

gonna drop off at Polaris dealer for warranty so I'll let u know what they say with these issues

I've heard of some tps issues again causing the low idle, needing throttle to start, and not going into reverse. Those settings are very important.

At least there hasn't been any stories of engines dropping pistons like previous years. I remember lots going down with less than 500km. That's a good sign. Might be on a Poo next year yet.....

We can hope for the best flatland riding and mountain abuse are two different animals but the design of the crank is simalar to some long lasting 800s

I hope this new lighter crank will be good for them. So far it sounds like the new motor is good, Unlike the past.

Guy we talked to at Frisby drove up from Washington, broke a driveshaft in half in 2 miles? or 20 miles, can't remember, had to take it back home, then came back the next weekend(when we talked to him), drove it up the trail half way, and the brakes were seized, couldn't get them to release no matter how much bleeding he did. Ended up renting a sled.

Weird, the piston must have been too sticky to release or something. I have had a couple coughs and sputters as well when WOT. Hopefully they hold up.

Talked to dealer yesterday and they said only the black boards are a problem and they expect they will be replaced on warranty as one has been approved already.

Good to know Chris. Now that the chipping has started it is getting substantially worse quick on mine.

My boards are flaking as well (70km), dealer was told by polaris to buy the paint and touch them up. Also buddy has a high exhaust sensor voltage that came on the other day not sure what that is about. Here's hoping for new boards after the paint doesn't hold.

Buddies exhaust sensor turned out to be not fully plugged in from PDI/factory

no issues on mine other then the rear suspension setup sucks. I have the 155 2.6" track that trenches like crazy and its hard to keep the front end down at times. gonna have to play around with it to get it where i want.
