Every time I ride my rmk 900 I am either stressed out wondering what will break next or stressed out because I have to spend another $500 on fixing one more thing. Either way, riding an rmk 900 is taking the fun out of snowmobiling for me.

The latest B.S. is that it won't rev past 5000 rpm. It just bogs to death. Usually it just surges at WOT but now it bogs after 5000. I am so sick of this. I just want to have fun and not spend an hour in the shop for every hour I spend on the hill.

Any help would be appreciated. If not. If you know anyone who has more patience or more time than money, I will let this sled go cheap. I have replace just about EVERYTHING on this POS

I just took my 2005 Polaris 900 RMK out for a break in spin today (Dec 23/13) and noticed a similar problem that wasn't there the last time I rode it in March.
It seems to be missing at around 6000RPM but it sounds kind of crackly, not a bog. I just changed the plugs, so could it be the plug gap? (the old plugs looked exact same)
I couldn't seem to get over 50kmh on open stretches and it just seemed like there was no extra power going up hills, there was enough power to get up the hill no problem but not enough to do much else.
I noticed the oxygen sensor has a big wad of tape around it about 6 inches away from the muffler... probable cause also?

Have you checked the muffler bearings? It could also be that your grapplegrommin isn't meshing with the filbert flange.
Merry Christmas T and get this solved by Saturday.

The muffler bearings were flush to the engine zoomer and the flange looked ok.

Throwing any codes? Had a crank seal go out and sounded simlar, went into limp mode. Other than that i put almost 3000 flawless miles on the 06 900 i had. Loved that sled just time to upgrade.
