i have thought about just building my own from a crotch rocket, carbonfiber/aluminum slip on and cutting it down in length. but im not sure if the core size will be correct, the slip on came off an R6 so it might be small? it is straight threw tho but any info would be great. overall lenght would be like 8 to 10 inches of muffler section at best so should sound pretty good if it worked. what do you guys think on this idea of building one?

Don't. Without proper dyno time you may hurt your engine or at best lose hp. There actually is technology in a can. In 2007 BRP tested 5 popular cans on the market for there new 800R engine just for there own information. Of the 5 cans built MBRP was the only company that maintained stock engine HP. Some pretty big names failed and there resource pool is probably alot more impressive than yours. Lol.
