So if the full exhaust set up gives you 10hp, and a new head does 13hp.....how does that not make any sense that you could get 23hp out of it?

Because each is designed on the stock sled. They may make some additional gains together or they might lose. One persons porting for example works with some y pipes and some do not. Until these are tried together (which will be soon) one can’t be sure.

well I for one am going against the grain and common sense and going to hope for 23hp together!

Seen lots of guys drop money on parts at the performance shop building cars stack hp claims from the parts. They think they've got 400hp and then go run 14 sec 1/4 miles in a fox body lol.

As stated above most parts are tested solo on a stock setup. So to stay with a car analogy the exhaust claims 10hp and the headers claim 20hp but the real restriction was the headers so together you only gain 20hp and some noise.

Go do both and report back, I'd love to see the results. I bet it will still kill a stocker.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
Will this extra power be transmitted through a hot, slipping clutch?
Those are great hp/tq nums but if your putting 720hp(think 90hp/cylinder) through a slipping transmission, it can be an exercise if futility.

Should be interested seeing how these performance parts work out in the field. The nice thing is they all seem to be from pretty reputable companies. Dynoport is known for very solid gains on doos, jaws usually doesnt sell something unless it works (heard their cat setup rips), and hearing good things about powderfreaks. If it was bikeman coming on here and marketing a 10-15hp head or pipe id be a little more cynical.

Well said. Bikeman is claiming 10-12 with a fuel controller.

Which silencer will you be running?

This is a going on a customers sled. He has MBRP trail can already and is going to continue to use it. I’ll take some pics as I go and when completed and will post them along with how it went.
