4 mix stihl, is the one, it is a 2 stroke. The one thing the guru at the dealer stressed to me on the 4 mix ones you must use stihl 2 cycle oil as all the "4" means is heavy egr recycled gas. So if you use optilube or something like that he said it has caused problems before and will gum it up. I have always used opti in the past and so has he but said that is not a good thing, on these new ones, plus the new oil has a fuel stabilizer for this **** ethanol gas now a days.

OMGOSH Stihl Stihl STIHL BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously.. I have an FS 70 Straight shaft.. wickedest thing ever on the planet..
I am obsessed with Stihl.. for sure..
Terry laughs his arse off at me .. I have a weird Sense of humor, so it is so hard for me to keep a straight face when I'm talking about straight shafts and curved shafts with customers.. if they ask me what I prefer.. well.. I usually end up leaving in tears from laughing so hard..
The straight shaft trimmers are wicked as you an utilize a steel blade... awesome for shrubbery and thick underbrush and weeds... I totally and completely believe in the stihl line up.. not only do they always start.. but they are on super wicked sale right now.. Up to 2 years warranty. I love Stihl.

I bought a 10 year old stihl 3 years ago, straight shaft with the blade and it kicks azz. I have an almost new Weed Eater gas job that never gets used.

I have a Stihl as well which is 6 years old and starts every time. They just need to make then for taller people! back aches after 1/2 hr

I don't have that problem, everything is too big or long for me... I have a Stihl and swear by it... chainsaw Stihl is great too!

In addition to the awesome trimmers/brushcutters stihl has there is another system that is wicked.
the stihl Kombi system. One power head, but a whole bunch of implements including a straight or curved shaft trimmer attachment. There is a roto tiller attachment, blower, sythe, edger, two types of sweepers, little chain saw attachment for pruning, hedge trimmer and others. Makes sense for a lot of people, especially if they are continually doing a lot of yardwork, or for commercial applications.

sorry to hear that... i guess this is a bad time to say i have never had a problem with my stihl fs 55 every 5 years and counting now... like the saw blade for sapplings too... I have never tried a honda whacker but IMHOP Honda anything can't be beat if you can afford it... if honda was an option laid out beside my stihl i'd probably have gone honda too

I have a 18 year old chain saw, that Stihl runs like new!!!
I bought a Stihl straight shaft weed wacker 5 years ago ( about $250.00???), that can take any attachment offered by Stihl. I run it out of gas every fall, and within 2 pulls. She sparks right up.
