From what I've read they are a nice little gun, accurate and quick. I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up.

Ya they are a really cheap rifle. Like $400 or something.
I have a mini 14 allready so I want the big brother haha
And I am just using regular shells

My brother picked up a russian SKS for $200 and its a wicked gun to shoot. I bought him the little scope and mounts off ebay for his B-day super cheap. Army surplus has crates of 1150 rounds for like $200.

Are those FMJ shells ?

They are a semi metal jackets you cant legally shoot full metal jackets i believe. The still rip through stuff and keep going.

You can shoot FMJ just they dont kill as easily..dont expand on target,I think they are legal on some animals but not on others,,cant remember for sure though.Body armor piercing shells are illegal

Can't wait to get my fac first rifle I wanna get is an Sks now that I'm on break up I should be good to go. Anyone know of any courses for fac close to Edmonton ? I know Phoenix has them any wear else?

Sks are a very cheap rifle. Like $400 but their a solid gun .
Next buy is an AR -15. Love the look of them. Kinda useless unless at the range , but still fun
