Aka wired network through 120 plugin

I bought the netgear XAVB2001-100PAS on sale.

I have a computer 80ft away from my wireless router and I didn't want to use a wireless ethernet adapter(connection drops) nor string 80ft+ of cat 5/6 cable. So I did some searching and found the above, you can use it for streaming movies, gaming or whatever you do on the internet.

Works slick as shat, still good speeds,.. good enough for gaming as well. What is nice is even though I have the kids Wii on wireless I can unplug from the other computer and move it to the living room and hardwire the Wii in for a better connection.

So far I give it a 5/5, I will post back after I get the new gaming pc on it and do more testing.

NOTE: you still need an ISP and internet connection for this, all this does is enable you to connect to your router anywhere in your house.

So far so good,.. kids play on the pc everyday with no issues, and there doesn't seem to be any noticeable issues with online FPS type games.

Yup,

PC->>adapter in wall plug
adapter in wall plug->>to router.

Pretty much any plug unless it is on a different junction like a garage. I never did take it outside to my shed to test it,.. hmmm. Might try this weekend.

Bestbuy said I could return it if it didn't work,.. so I thought what the hell.

Still going strong 1 year later and with speeds tests it's only about less than 1% difference than this pc connected right at the router.

Still going strong,.. but I do have some info on a new hair removal device.

Me - mepower.com

Also has the name Syneron Beauty,.. wife thinks its working well. Its a home lazer type application with a bright light that zaps the hair folicles, rather expensive but she got it 1/2 price, once a week for 6wks.
