Love my Traeger!!! Game changer, so good. I agree not for quick smokie or burger but for most things amazing. I don't find it hard on pellets, definitely worth it, I stock up at Costco.

Costco has a few flavours of pellets also.

Today I am making a giant turkey burger patty. Filled with spices , cheese, onions, garlic. . Smoking for 2 hours. Then turn up to 325 to finish.

Has one for 5 years now and wouldn't own anything else.
Same and I agree. I bbq’d burgers, steak and chops this past week and it’s been windy here in God’s country with no issues. Monday at 2 am I will start my 22lb brisket. My only complaint is I wish I had a bigger one with a second rack.

Also I have used Pit Boss pellets with no issue. They are usually twice the size bag of traeger at the same price.

Very impressed with the LG900. If it's warm out, it takes maybe 15 or 20 mins longer to get to temp than my nat.gas Weber. I've done baby back ribs, brisket, chicken breasts, whole chickens (beer can and spatchcock, very much prefer the spatchcock and will do that exclusively now), potatoes, beans, corn on the cob, frozen and fresh pizzas. There is a bit of maintenance involved after a longer cook. 5 mins tops and it's clean. Involves wiping down the racks, scraping off the heat plate, removing the heat plate and vacuuming the ash from the bottom of the drum and the burner pot.
Anyone who gets into one, I highly recommend going on Amazon and buying an Inkbird wifi bbq thermometer. I had a bluetooth Weber one, but the problem with it is after you get out of Bluetooth range 3 times, it needs reset. The wifi one doesn't and I can check my temp from anywhere with cell service through an app on my phone. The other thing is depending on where you buy your 900, it probably won't come with a front shelf. Order the LG one. I have the side on as well but hardly use it.

Don't regret buying this thing, one bit. I've made some awesome bbq and finding more things to cook each week. I still use my gas grill when the kids want a quick hot dog or a burger or if we do steaks. The LG will do steaks but I love the heat control on my Weber for steaks.

Didn't take any pics but did a country style ham shank on my LG on Saturday. 4kg and took just over 4 hours at 225F. Turned out awesome. Basted with Coke every half hour.

Was really good,.. was my first time doing it. I do lots of chickens,.. and with the turkey being bigger I estimated a little too long so wasn't as juicy as I wanted, but was still plenty of liquid. I think I will marinate inject a little earlier before putting on the grill.

Spend the $60 on a wireless or bluetooth inkbird thermometer and throw that in the breast. I want to try a turkey but there is only 2 of us so a turkey is major overkill. Did you smoke it the whole way through or do it at a higher temp?
