Probably true. It sucks but it's the reason we have the policy, to make the claim, not get our premiums raised.

Mine did not, and actually because it was my first claim they refunded my deductible almost a year after we had paid it and had everything settled out.

That's good business Tyler. I don't see myself as being that lucky. But I can always hope...lol

After about 20 hours of listing stolen items, tearing the house apart looking for receipts and shopping for replacement prices in person (mostly) and on the internet I finally submitted my claim to the insurance company.
I won't know for a while what items will be disputed but they have told me to replace the obvious items and submit receipts. Agent seemed really fair and I'm hoping for an easy road.
Final claim amount $12,675.00.
Holy Chit was I surprised how much gear I had.

If it helps I've got some extra gear sitting around I can check and see what I have. Shovel, probe, 509 goggles, prob some klim powercross gloves, klim gear bag etc. If insurance burns ya for some reason send me a pm and I'll send whatever I have on the bus for you.

Wow, that's very generous. Hoping to get this resolved in the next week or so.
