Yes, and no. It’s not for the faint of heart. The drainage/draw off of Morton is the start of Sicamous creek which eventually goes into Mara lake beside the house boat place. It’s a good 500m drop in elevation off the lake before things start to level out a bit she’s a real panty dropper, most freeze up halfway down and try to go back up and then realize they can’t get back up lol it’s kind of a one way type of trail ride It’s a good 8km creek bash from the lake before you will eventually come to an old road...if you go right it will take you back to the main owls trail - connector. Rene used to call that draw the business park. Most riders have no business going in there though lol

Yeah and on a low snow year like this I’m sure it’s an even more fun ride.

Well you've piqued my interest now. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Creek bashing is what we live for. It's a one way street though? No climbing back out at all if it gets too gnarly?

You hit skyline before the big water falls. Never seen anyone successful make it down there just lots of reports of people stuck down there. Think the snow bike guy from AFD attempted it on snow bikes and had to walk down.

Take the Skyline some day and when you get to that corner take a look up. I wouldn't want to walk down it. Talked to some that have been pulled out of there by S&R before. Doesn't sound pleasant.

Asked dad about it. He remembered one big snow year back in the early 90s they were bakc there with some local and dropped out to a road and then connected back to owls head. He kinda sorta figured it on the map when I showed em. It's gotta be the same drainage by my reckoning. If it's the one and those guys did it on 136 phazers with plastic paddles we all have no excuse. Full send.

It's impossible on a low snow year, and even a good snow year it's bad bad news

There is three water falls on the Morton side before it funnels to the 2 mile drainage, and 2 water falls on the cabin side

Been a ways down from head lights and bumpers, gets like this pic fast

And it's called headlights and bumpers cause it takes both out every ride on somes ride

Every thing below skinny ridge on west side funnels to this point

Also walked down the other side off Morton lake over the first waterfall on a sar call , looks inviting but ya it's vertical

Ride owls on Saturday went over to stash and around out to the lake. Snow was really good up top mostly bumper to mid hood and not much traffic up there. Went out towards through the meadow below the cabin towards the cut blocks and seen that area all tracked out. Looked like that area had more traffic then the alpine. Someone hit a few stumps in there. Took a peek at the mortan drainage there was old tracks coming out at skyline not sure if someone made it down there or tried to go up.

Some buddies of mine rode Owls yesterday on bikes. Someone stole all their ski wheels. I guess they stashed them off the trail at the snow line and they were gone when they came down. Such a shame

That really is weird and sucks. To bad ya need wheels to get to the snow in Sicamous eh. Why didn't they just drive their trucks up to the snow line?

Cause some bald tire tool spun out and got side ways

Then it was a **** show, cause few trucks turned around ( no idea why) and sleds where getting stuck and jammed up too, where trucks were trying to pass each other

Oh and come on guys, think about how ya park and where
