Not sure on how far up owls head fsr you have to go up probably not that far. Maybe 4-5km we didn’t go up that way as we thought it was probably beat up pretty good. There was fresh snow Saturday and didn’t see another track. There is a Good snow pack. Sunday and Monday was sunny down a little lower the snow was really soft compared to the alpine.
Was kinda strange riding 4 days any only hearing 1 other machine for 5 minutes when riding in popular a area. I don’t think I have ever seen so many people fishing and out on the lake at this time of the year.

Was up today Owlhead snow line is at about the 5km mark ..can drive till about the 4km if you have a sled deck. Lots of dirt riding I'd say about 3 to 4 km up to Blue Lake trail much easier to go up the owlhead trail and ride to Blue Lake.. snow is very slushy down low up top it isn't bad a little tough to hold an edge as you only sink in about 7 inches in some spots, there is lots of snow left to ride however and is fairly good spring riding. No big avys but seen some sluffung down from the warmth on the rocks and trees..trails are holding up well there is some whooped sections but can for the most part ride the sides to get away from them..

Queest on Apr 27th. Unloaded at km 8 and a bit. No dirt past that. Trail in decent shape still. 7 feet up top and was some fresh on the ground and snowing a bit on way out
7 feet??? Where did you probe??

The other weekend at blue, we had 11 feet of probe and arm in , this was in a flat meadow that sees lots of traffic too

Probably last ride of the yr for me. Trail fading really fast in the warmer weather. Still a great day. Even the old 550 made it up to the towers. Kids had a blast burning up fuel and even a little snowboarding down some of the hills

2012 was the scary year, lots of damage & carnage. Check out https://www.shuswaplakewatch.com/ for good info including show packs that feed the lake. June is a rain month & can really set the flood conditions off. The last rain falls have added snow in elevation, that has put us in a "concern" situation again.

Shuswap Lake has surpassed the high water mark of June 2019. The sign at the wharf in Salmon Arm is under water. The next sign or level is the 2018 high water mark. We are about a meter from that level.

Still lots of snow up high Doug left to make its way down yet? We're heading back in with the horses after some bear next week into the eastern slopes really interested to see what's up high for snow could get dicey with a gulley washer of a rain storm.

Good Spring Ride today! Unloaded at the snow line on the Owlhead at 13k. Good snow coverage above that. Toured over to Blue, Brown Pants, back to Morton and Eco and the Owlhead cabin. A little trickey getting over the creek on the way out but didn't sink any sleds. Snow pack was soft with a few inches of fresh up high. Lots of water to hit the valleys over the next few weeks! I lost a large Mountain Addiction Black gas can between the Owl cabin and the connector. Let me know if you find it - thanks
