Headed up Blue Lk way with Roberto today (the Cancer twins!) and once up top discovered what we figured we'd find, TRACKED OUT! Actually, we weren't really surprised, all this time with no fresh snow and the amount of sledders we've had in the area, no wonder everywhere looked like a parking lot.
So, we did what anyone would do in such a case, and went off the trail and into an area where we had no idea where we were (that "lets follow that one old sled track" scenario) and wound up in some gully on the side of some ravine! Who the hell follows a track that winds up going no where and just turns around and goes back up the hill????? Anyways, we had a great time! We found untracked snow, none of the 2' deep stuff but a good foot anyways, the treewells were quite deep however. Only one malfunction with the "tractor trailer" when it got wedged on a tight corner, kinda like trying to park a Duramax in a VW spot. Once we climbed up outta there we found more untracked snow very close to the cabin but in areas that most don't go, it actually turned into a pretty pristine day! Rob and I solved the Corvid 19 problem, our Federal gov't problem, Native problem, now all we have to do is get elected!! Great day Rob, lets do that route again!!

Tour up thru eco today. Sunbaked and pounded out areas as mentioned but was nice views and cold beers to practice the social distancing. Trucks driving up 2km on Owlhead.lot

Headed up Eagles today ! Little quarantine isolation ! Thought our crew would do a little sight seeing ! Trail was great! At cabin thought we'd make the big tour and head to monster and play on the way there ! Boy do we need a DUMP , every little pocket and valley is tracked out ! Only few pockets we found of untouched were near the back ! Ventured down toward mine and played around abit ! Then headed back out to Monster to have lunch and catch a few Ray's! We headed up ravine NW of monster to find only few tracks uptop was wind blown and crusty , played abit and then played here and there abit. Tried playing in trees abit but crossing old tracks wasnt fun ! All in all was a good relaxing day ! No u know what to be found ! Lol

Couple fantastic warm bluebird days. Eagles today we managed to find some decent snow waaaay in the back but it’s getting sparse. Trail was great, I suggest heading up
In the next day or two if you want to enjoy eagles again this season with a decent trail. Thanks for a great season and great trails this year sicamous. Will likely be my last trip see you next season.

With all the BS going around about CoVid19, I am a firm believer in getting out into the outdoors and enjoying life. Yes, it is prudent to put some restrictions on our actions but really do we need to follow like sheeple and heed the word of the government regarding "stay home"? My son and I went to Zipper Mouth Creek at the beginning of the week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and practised the "social distance thingy" and really did not harm to ourselves nor the other person we rode with. Gassed up without seeing a person, travelled to Zipper Mouth Creek without talking to another person, no hotel, no meals (all made at home for the cooker), no trail pass vendor....................you get the picture. Zipper Mouth Creek is isolated and even though I am not a qualified expert (like a Dr., a governmental minister, a breaucrat, or other high fluting official) there was no risk associated with our journey.
This was the best ride of my life. The terrain was awesome and the trees were not tight like I was used to in the Kootenays. Totally untracked and powder bumper deep or more all friggin' day. Snorkels weren't required but that was not a qualifying requirement at this time of year. The crappy video clip (the iPhone is great but it doesn't like to zoom and stay in focus and for that I apologize) does show the pow and the conditions.
We rode a lot of dirt/gravel on the way out (sun melted a lot of snow on the road throughout the day) but all in all, when the pow is nice, the base is sweet, and the sunset at 6500' is awesome it was a great day!!
