It it was, wouldn't that technically require everybody to have their radio license?

Yes and they would need to get the channel programmed in as programmable radios are not legal even with a radio license. I think it is an FRS channel but haven't noticed the sign yet to confirm.

As I had mentioned a few posts back, would like to ride tomorrow. Buddy deserted to the island for the week. Looking for a group to tag along with.

Rode Owl's Yesterday, Groomed to the turn off, the trail in to the cabin was whooped to sh*t not sure why it hasn't been groomed appears to be enough snow? Having said that found a bit of fresh off skyline road but the rest of the area is in need of at least 2 or more feet of snow to make ride-able in all area's hopefully this week. On a side note the Dynamic duo are getting the Band back together this week as the Shermanator is coming off the Injured Reserve list . Standby for tales of adventure with the Sherm embellishing my riding style and patented Barrel Roll

I've seen more snow in there Nov the 15th before lol

It was a great day other than the poor visibility. It is building up nicely. Didn't probe but it appeared where I snagged a tree, there was close to 2 meters. There were no rocks ticking the skis on the way up today and the snow is good.

Did a trip around Owlhead area this morning....not great....a lot more snow needed to play in the trees. Found some big stones and stumps. Saw a parked snow cat that needs to be put to work.
Also need a chainsaw for the downed trees on the road up

Back in the saddle with Billdozer, well, not in his saddle, my own, he gets to frisky!! Headed up Owls road but bypassed the cabin, of course, and headed towards Blue, ducking into some of those side areas that are known to collect a little more snow than others, it was great. Just for old times sake Billy treated me to a fine Billdozer Barrel Roll right off the bat, in the middle of a clearing, it was beautiful, thanks Bill, just like the old days! Then we did a wonderful trip through a cut block, snow was waste deep on me and still didn't bottom out, that makes it chin height for Billy, well, breast height anyways. We spent quite a bit of time in that block, the snow is really deep around logs and stuff, weird.
We carried on up onto the forestry road that runs from Owls to Blue, no one had been anywhere around there and all untouched snow! Most of the day was snow to the headlights while the major drifted areas were over the hood. Just beware on that back road, theres a huge culvert that is sticking up outta the ground that would act like a razor blade if someone contacted it, I mentioned it to Unc Gord. We pretty much burnt ourselves out, the final straw was a catapult trick by Billy that left him a good 20' behind his sled when they both landed. He thought the tree would bend whereas it didn't, and it
acted like a ramp, beautiful! OK, maybe my trench to avoid a creekbed didn't help. Anyways, great day Bill, I'm sure we'll both be healed up in a week or so, we did leave some untracked stuff out there!!
