Hoping for a little feedback. My parents (mid 60’s) from Sask and brother from Dubai (with family wife and two girls 5&13) will be visiting. Last winter I took them sledding in Revy. This summer I’d like to take them to Sicamous and was hoping for ideas.

So far thinking about loading up my dirt bike, having the brother rent one (he’s experienced) and having the father be the chase truck with his Ranger and any other passengers who wish to join. Is it possible to make our way to Hunakwa Lake from the east side? If so I’d also have the father haul the kayaks on the chase truck. With fuel, food and beer of course.

I’m sure there some good hiking and photography in the area. Of course could hit the rail thing at the Revy ski hill since Revy is close, or Golden Via Ferrata on our way out.

I sold my Wake boat so not looking to do that sort of thing and it’s to expensive to rent a big boat like that. Any suggestions in the Sic area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

Kite jump up queest road

Stop in at the sicamous visitors center for more ideas, my kid works there and have maps with lots of info

Thanks for the help Tex. I never thought of the pontoon boat, great suggestion. I’ve been up to the jump a few times before, do you know if that road would that road take a guy all the way to Hunakwa Lake at the north end of the arm? Will definitely stop at the visitor Center once there.

Which road, the queest far or the gorge fsr to seymor arm??

Oh and bull dog rentals or reds rentals have toon boats to rent

I'm sure there's lots more to do, like going to revy, across the lake, past nakusp, then to the other ferry, the out at cherry ville and to Vernon

Very nice drive, twisty fun roads too

You can access hunakwa from the north end off the 1200 road just out of Seymour arm. Other than that no road access from anstey side. It’s not that exciting though. Go up around Adams lake to the north and come down to Seymour past humamilt lake. Stop in at silver beach for a swim and a drink at the pub then go out the gorge or north fork. North fork is a way more overall scenic drive but the gorge takes you way up over anstey and you can see hunakwa from up there.

We did it from Sicamous in my jeep, with a beer or two stop at the pub, few other stops

Took 6 hours, came back the gorge road, which comes out on highway 1 just west of the last spike

North fork comes out at skyline, same road to go to Mustang powder

It's some lady that does it or something, only open till 3

Dunno, roads are sure all over the place there lol
Ya it would be smurfs country kitchen. It’s right on the main road heading to the warf . It gets rather confusing up there especially when the snowbanks get to be around 10’ high and a few pops!!

No after you come in across the bridge you take the first right then follow road to the left. It’s the second road turning right. It’s right on that corner.
Holy hell I'm all turned around now lol

Skinny bridge I recall lol
