Our main trail ( 13 miles, 26 miles both ways) is open and groomed to the cabin. The snow cover is sparse with some rough sections on either side of Shoal Lake. The lake ice is 10-16 inches thick. Keep your eyes open for ice heaves in the narrows. The trail is set to the Goodridge Lake staging area from there but is not groomed. We only have 6-7 inches of fluffy snow but it sets up good when groomed.
The main trail is good for a short family ride as it is across fields and the Lake. I will try to get the trail markers across the fields and the lake on thursday. ASA Trail Pass IS REQUIRED!!!!!!!

I usually ride fields around the farm and just started riding the trails around Vega. From Barrhead to Vega i think is mostly fields ,north of Vega is more trees. There are 3 warm-up shacks on the trail ,makes a nice lunch spot.
