Good to hear it's out and drying off haha. Crummy way to start the season. Shout out to whoever pulled er out. I can imagine that was no fun.

Talked to a buddy yesterday. Good snow to be had. Also there was a sledder lifted out by stars. No details though.

Made er to kakwa yesterday. Trail in was awsome. Rode to cecile in the morning. Seen 3 other sleds up there. Played in the trees an creeks. Snowed hard most of the day but still lots of visibility. 2' of powder is most spots. Hit the cabin for lunch. Lots of sledders in. Hit babette in the afternoon. Had a blast up there. Lots of snow. Creek shutes an trees were awsome. Good snow to be had an you didn't have to look for it at all. Trail out was brutal. To much braapin. Took us 2 hours to get out but all in all a very good day on the mountain.

I just rode for 2 days, first day Cecilia/broadview area, 2nd day we rode flattop. Pretty good base with plenty of snow up top. But some pretty retarded high mark heros pushing their luck.

We broke into Ruth yesterday, trail was pretty tight. Ruth was windblown top, but really nice down low. Approx 1.5-2' of fairly fresh.

We did the Cecelia Lake trail along the creek from the parking lot. Then went across the ridge to the cabin at Kakwa and looped back tot he parking lot. Same comments: The groomed trails were great except for closer in to the parking lot where there is less snow for the groomer to work with. Good job to the groomer operators. Could use at least another foot to give some material for them to work with. Most of the areas are getting quite well packed and, partially thanks to us, quite a bit of the play areas off the trail. All in all a very good day in a beautiful place. Another six feet would get this back to how it looked the last time I went.

Hello all,

I'm looking for a ridding partner or group to head out to kakwa some time during this week. I've got all the essentials and I'm self sufficient. Send me a message if your planning on heading out.

thanks

John
